With the help of avalanche bulletins and weather forecasts, planning a tour is no trouble. It is the responsability of every person embarking on a tour to show consideration for the flora and fauna of the area. It is essential to have a knowledge of avalanches and to behave appropriately in the high alpine area when planning your tour.
Equipment:
In addition to proper touring equipment, specialized avalanche equipment must also be carried. An avalanche shovel, transceiver and avalanche probe are essential.
