Bivio

Welcome to Bivio
The name Bivio means “fork in the road” and is inextricably linked to the two Roman passes of Septimer and Julier. The village, with 260 inhabitants, has the most extraordinary linguistic make-up of Europe, according to one distinguished expert in Bivio. It is the highest village in the Surses valley.

Summer
Take your family by the hand, enjoy the spice of summer in the mountains and the intense colors of Alpine flora. Strolling through the woods. The surrounding mountain peaks reflected in crystal clear mountain lakes. Hiking and fishing, horse riding, wonder and refresh. Click here for picture gallery Bivio in summer >>>

Winter
In this little village the wiinter seems to turn the landscape into a fairy-tale world. The snow, the sun, the ski touring area, the ski resort and so on. Bivio is small but nice not only for families but also for active winter sport people. Click here for picture gallery Bivio in winter >>>

How to get there
Bivio can be reached by public transport on the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) from Zurich to Chur, and then the Rhaetian Railway (RhB) or by postal bus to Bivio. By car from Basel to Zurich: via Chur-Thusis-Tiefencastel and on to Bivio.
